Science Gallery travelling exhibitions bring together multidisciplinary and cutting edge ideas from artists, engineers, designers and scientists.
About Our Travelling Exhibitions
Our exhibitions create a dynamic visitor experience that is at once surprising, participative and stimulating, and are designed to open up debate and challenge opinion.
We design experiences that resonate with audiences. We don’t dumb down art and science, or patronise curious young minds – instead presenting ideas to audiences of all ages in a highly engaging, conversational way. Each of our interactive touring shows includes support on delivery, technical details, installation, mediator training and marketing, and can be individually catered to your local venue requirements. DESIGN & VIOLENCE
In DESIGN AND VIOLENCE, we draw connections between places near and far, between our everyday actions and their causes and consequences, and show how violence and design can act both for and against power and the realisation of social change.
Should we always believe what we see right in front of us? Can you trust your senses? Has technology made things clearer or muddied the waters between reality and fiction? And is anything really as it seems? Illusions distort the senses and mystify our logical thinking. The human mind can be easily fooled.
Is beauty in the eye of the beholder, or the optic chiasm? Do artists really look at the world differently, or for that matter does sex, species, or attitude change what you see? Is vision just one way to see? How do our brains interpret what’s in front of our eyes? How do machines understand what they’re looking at, and will they change how we look at the world?
